The Bensons story began around the kitchen table with a glass of freshly pressed apple juice, harvested from the trees in their very own orchards at the Benson’s family farm. It was the best the family had tasted and they knew it was something worth sharing! The family then bought six barrels of mixed English apples from local fruit farmers and drove them up to the family farm in Northumberland. They milled and pressed the apples and brought the juice back to the Cotswolds to pasteurise, using a hand-made pasteuriser. Over the years, the family have developed a range of outstanding and award-winning juices and still and sparkling juiced waters.

Their Story

The Benson family roots have always been in farming, from stock seasoned in early starts, long days, toiling in the soil and of course days spent in the orchard, growing the best British apples. That was the start of Bensons and they maintain their passion for delicious freshly pressed juices.

Sited on a beautiful old country estate owned by the National Trust right in the heart of the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire, Bensons never add water, sugar, additives or preservatives and only use British apples sourced locally whenever available. They never ever use concentrates and use the best natural ingredients which taste so good they never need to add anything else.

Their philosophy to use only the finest seasonal British apples, doing their bit to keep the orchards in the UK thriving especially as 60% of orchards have disappeared since the 1950s. Bensons is a bustling community of Benson believers. Everyone plays their part in keeping the business going and growing.
