Muddy Wellies is a range of branded ales and cider developed by Royal Agricultural University Entrepreneurs, as part of a Social Enterprise project. With the help of leading craft brewers Bath Ales and Weston’s Cider makers, students of RAU have developed this range of premium ales and cider, the revenues from which are re-invested into the University’s First Steps Enterprise Fund, a Proof of Concept Fund which supports budding entrepreneurs test and prove their own business ideas.
The Muddy Wellies team is hard at work developing and bringing to market excellent products created in and around Gloucestershire which herald country values while embracing the modern world. Cotswold Finest is proud to support this enterprising initiative and is one of a number of supporting distributors, helping Muddy Wellies reach their market.
The RAU Entrepreneurs Society launched Muddy Wellies as a student project to develop their key employability skills and generate income for their society. They developed a brand which not only heralds country values and traditions but continues to embrace the world of modern commerce. Our students are still involved in the business today.
Today, Muddy Wellies is managed by the RAU Enterprise Programme in conjunction with The Craft Drink Co. and is supported by leading craft brewers The Friday Beer Company and Westons Cidermakers who ensure that each and every drink is of the highest quality.
Muddy Wellies has developed a stand-out, fun brand with an exceptional range of craft ales and cider that provides us with the opportunity to support young entrepreneurs starting their own businesses.
